CEH Certification in Vizag: Eligibility and Training Guide
CEH is EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker credential. Learning ethical hacking, completing a training course and earning CEH certification are separate steps. Before paying for CEH preparation in Vizag, check the current eligibility route, the exact exam and the written inclusions.
Separate these three decisions
| Decision | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Skills training | Syllabus, foundations, authorised labs, reporting feedback and delivery mode. |
| Exam eligibility | Current EC-Council requirements for the route you plan to use. |
| Certification purchase | Exact exam, voucher terms, applicable charges and what is included. |
Check eligibility directly with EC-Council
Use the official application and eligibility page to confirm the rules that apply to your background. Requirements differ by route; a generic training-provider statement is not proof that an individual applicant is eligible. Check required documentation and application steps before buying an exam.
If a provider describes its course as official or authorised CEH training, ask for current verification of that status. Softenant’s Ethical Hacking course page does not establish EC-Council partner status, an included CEH voucher or guaranteed exam eligibility.
As checked on 8 September 2026, EC-Council states that the CEH route without official training requires two years of information-security work experience and proof during application. Official training provides a separate eligibility route. Verify the current requirements for your chosen exam directly before applying.
What to ask before paying
- Is this general ethical hacking training, CEH preparation, or an official EC-Council offering?
- Which exam and current objectives does the preparation cover?
- Does the quoted price include a voucher, application charge or retake?
- Are lab access and learning materials included, and for how long?
- What equipment, study background and attendance are expected?
- What are the written payment, cancellation and exam-booking terms?
Build practical evidence alongside theory
Study network services, Linux permissions, HTTP, access controls and reporting. For each topic, write one explanation, complete a permitted lab exercise and record what the result can and cannot prove. A practice score and an actual lab skill measure different things, so review both.
A useful portfolio includes a scope sheet, a service inventory and a finding report with remediation and retesting. Do not publish real credentials, client records or restricted training materials. Label your own work as a learning exercise.
Compare the local training option clearly
Softenant’s Ethical Hacking training is Rs. 16,000 for 3 months, offered online and offline in Visakhapatnam. That confirmed training price should not be represented as the CEH exam fee. Ask the team what certification guidance is available and which services, if any, are charged separately.
Choose a credential for a specific purpose
Read the requirements of the roles you want and identify whether they ask for a credential, practical assessment, experience or a combination. A certification can support an application, but it does not replace the ability to explain scope, validate evidence and write a useful report.
Check the official CEH programme page for current programme information. Keep your study plan tied to the current objectives and your own skill gaps instead of relying on a course name alone.
