Softenant Technologies (“Softenant”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share information when you visit softenant.com, contact us about training services, or use a Softenant-authorized connector that accesses Google Search Console data.
Information we collect
- Enquiry information: your name, phone number, email address, course interest and any message you submit through our forms, email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Technical information: basic device, browser, IP-address, security and server-log information generated when you use our website.
- Usage information: information about how visitors reach and use our website, which may be collected through cookies and analytics technologies configured on the site.
- Google Search Console data: when an authorized user connects Google Search Console, the connector may read permitted site properties, search-performance data and Google?s stored URL-inspection/indexing information.
How we use information
- Respond to course, admission, demo-class and support enquiries.
- Provide requested training information and communicate about relevant services.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our website and authorized integrations.
- Measure website performance and understand search visibility.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and protect against misuse.
We do not sell personal information or Google user data. We do not use Google Search Console data for advertising, credit decisions or surveillance.
Google Search Console connector
The Softenant Search Console connector requests the read-only Google permission https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly. It uses this permission only to provide authorized Softenant users with Search Console properties, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position and stored URL-inspection results for approved Softenant website properties.
- The connector does not modify Search Console data or request indexing.
- It does not request or store your Google password.
- Google OAuth credentials are stored in AWS Secrets Manager and are available only to the connector runtime for authorized requests.
- Temporary Google access tokens may be cached in connector memory for up to five minutes.
- Requested results are returned to the authorized user through the connected ChatGPT experience.
- Application logs are designed to omit tokens and request bodies and are retained for a limited operational period.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Sharing and service providers
We may use service providers such as website hosting, cloud infrastructure, analytics, communications and AI-assistant platforms to process information only as needed to provide and secure the requested service. When the connector is used through ChatGPT, relevant prompts and returned results are also processed by OpenAI under the user?s applicable OpenAI terms and privacy settings. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a legitimate business reorganization.
Cookies and analytics
Our website may use essential cookies and analytics technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, measure traffic and diagnose problems. Browser settings can be used to restrict cookies, although some website functions may not work as intended.
Data retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including support, security, record-keeping and legal requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
- You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information, subject to applicable requirements and legitimate retention needs.
- You may opt out of promotional communications by using the method provided in the message or contacting us.
- You can revoke the connector?s Google access from your Google Account connections. Revocation stops future access but does not automatically delete records that must be retained for security or legal purposes.
Children?s privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and address the request.
